With the release of the movie in the month of Christmas you have surely understood that this move in some way or other is related to Christmas. Truly speaking, the Christmas movies are in general deal with the theme of Santa Claus and this film does not remaintoo far from that premise.
In the movie The Perfect Holiday, the central theme revolves around Nancy (Gabrielle Union), who is a divorced mother of two boys and a girl, glumly faces at Christmas in New Jersey without a man in her life. To this painful situation there is the presence of her ex-husband, like rubbing salt to the gaping wound, J-Jizzy (Charlie Murphy), a proud rap star with whom she is locked in a custody battle. Swathed in chinchilla, he is found too be deeply engrossed on his current project, which is a Christmas album that includes a beautiful composition like "I Love the Ho Ho Hos."
However, the real essence of the movie initiates from a few scenes after. It has its beginning when Emily (Khail Bryant) the daughter of Nancy happens to overhear her mother's desire confiding to a friend. It is to have compliment from a man, she passes along the wish to the handsome Santa at the local mall. In realty, he is Benjamin (Morris Chestnut), an expediently unmarried but an unsuccessful songwriter struggling a lot to make his career. It will be found through the development of the movie that Benjamin also noticed Nancy at the mall. Now he with the help of Emily becomes able to track down mother and delivers the requested compliment, and then disappears. But through a great effort Nancy along with her friends eventually find him leading to the blossoming of the romance. But even then, there is an obstacle. That obstacle is nothing except John-John (Malik Hammond), the elder son of Nancy, who is found to have a strong repugnance against Benjamin. But the chances that Santa is Mr. Right are about as good as those of hearing the Jingle Bells in a department store during the Christmas season.
If you decide to watch the movie it will one of the best moments for you in this Christmas, as if reaching into a Christmas stocking and pulling out handfuls of cheap plastic toys that are broken!
