The appearances of some of the biggest stars of the Bollywood film industry showed the eminence of the Oscar nominated ‘Lagaan director, Ashutosh Gowarikar. The director is also known for his other home production ‘Swades’ starring Shahrukh Khan. The 40 crore budget movie sure kicked off to a great premiere with a huge gathering crowd to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars.

Present at the premier were the lead pair of the movie, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. The gorgeous former Miss world came with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and her in laws, superstar Amitbah Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Aishwarya was draped in a lovely pink sari that made her look like a real princess off screen also.

The handsome Akbar played by Hrithik Roshan was present there with his lovely and pregnant wife, Suzanne Khan and his in laws.

The ‘Lagaan’ star Aamir Khan made his presence felt along with co-star Sonali Bendre. Amongst the other celebrity pairs making appearances for the premiere were the lovely couple Shabana Azmi and her husband Javed Akhtar the eminent poet and lyricist.

Also present at the premier was the gorgeous Kangana Raunat who was looking pretty in her denims and striped top and was happy to give a few poses to the photographers.

 

The famous singer Alka Yagnik made a quite entry striking a pose or two for the crowd. Rekha made her presence felt in a glamorous golden silk sari looking as gorgeous as ever and giving some reasons for the younger actresses to shy away from the camera.
